Stephen Curry: Donald Trump's LeBron James Tweet Racist

"I know that's [sic] it's unlikely that Lebron James would give up his highly successful career - especially since he has been generous enough to use that influence to be an inspirational community and youth advocate for millions".

US President Donald Trump, who was named the sole recipient of the petition, recently mocked James on Twitter, responding to criticism from the four-time NBA MVP over the leader's stance on the National Football League anthem protests.

An online petition calling for LeBron James to replace Betsy DeVos as US secretary of education has received more than 9,000 signatures in a campaign of staggering hypotheticals, The San Francisco Chronicle reported.

"LeBron James is an inspiration to kids all over the country", the petition continues. We certainly deserve better!' the petition reads.

The petition comes nearly a week after President Trump insulted James' intelligence on Twitter following the athlete's interview with Don Lemon about his new public school.

Trump tweeted on August 4: "Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon". He made Lebron look smart, which isn't easy to do. "I like Mike!" Trump tweeted in reaction to James' interview.

If you could pick from two candidates to be nation's secretary of education and those were your candidates, whom would you pick?

Now, thousands are petitioning for LeBron James to take over education in the United States.

'So Trump called LeBron James "stupid" for opening up a school for children in his hometown, ' Abed A. Ayoub responded.

James recently opened his I Promise school, which will serve predominantly low-income students in Akron, Ohio. 'If that's stupid, I wonder what he'd call Betsy DeVos for doing absolutely nothing for schools and children across America'.

Steph Curry and LeBron James may be rivals on the basketball court, but they have each others' backs off of it. The school triggered lawsuits amid accusations of fraud.
