Man United Fans Rage Against The Board After Dreadful Transfer Window

Manchester United kick off the 2018-19 Premier League season on Friday night as they host Leicester City at Old Trafford.

The club only wanted to sign a defender in the bracket of Raphaël Varane, although Real Madrid would not listen to any offers for the World Cup victor.

He said: 'Manchester United have to go out with the intention of winning everything that's put before them.

By their usual standards, Manchester United have had a disastrous summer transfer window. "We have a very good squad, with very good players and it is very hard to add players to that", he said.

Manchester United begins its season off on the right foot, with World Cup-winner Paul Pogba scoring alongside Romelu Lukaku.

However, the Red Devils are believed to have informed the La Liga giants that they aren't desirous to strike Pogba off their books.

Harry Maguire was a genuine target, and although no progress was ever made with Leicester, United are still admirers of the England player. However, Metro reports that as far as Tottenham's boss is concerned, there is no move.

The club did not consider any other centre-back on Jose Mourinho's wishlist of a similar value.

Jose Mourinho confirmed that as many as 10 players are likely to miss the Premier League opener.

Paul Pogba, Ashley Young, Fellaini and Jesse Lingard may yet be involved against Leicester tonight.

Boateng trained with Bayern Munich on Thursday, with Paris Saint-Germain now touted as the front-runners for his signature - a deal that can, of course, be done later in the month after the Premier League bows out of the market as a buying power. It gives us a couple of weeks to recover people and to prepare people better and to focus on the players that are available, so I'm not even thinking about that list of players I gave you - Matic, Valencia and so on.

"In football, you need time to work and you need players on the pitch to work with which we didn't have until now".

United used a three-at-the-back system regularly during the pre-season tour of the United States and could use it against Claude Puel's side rather than the usual 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

"I have my players and I like my players", Mourinho said.
