Zsa Zsa, the world's ugliest dog, has died

Zsa Zsa, the English bulldog who last month was crowned World's Ugliest Dog, has died. The American Kennel Club said her breed typically lives eight to 10 years Zsa Zsa was 9. The English bulldog spent her first five years in a puppy mill in Missouri before she was saved by Underdog Rescue, a nonprofit pet rescue rehabilitation and placement organization. It's kind of like when she won (the World's Ugliest Dog contest). "It's probably going to be the same with her passing". "It's been two weeks and I still don't believe it", Brainard told the TV show. "We take millions of pictures in my family, so now we have her face everywhere to remind us of her", Brainard told Today.

Brainard told NBC's "Today" that she was "still in shock" over Zsa Zsa's death.

They drove 30 hours from their home in California so Zsa Zsa could compete for the crown.

According to Today, Brainard, her husband and their 15-month-old daughter held a special farewell ceremony to remember Zsa Zsa. "We were all saying our goodbyes". Brainard named the sweet, lovable pup after the Hollywood legend Zsa Zsa Gabor, because the pretty pooch enjoyed lounging on the couch "like a attractive model". "She never really showed much excitement, but yes, she was definitely living it up after she won", Ms Brainard said.
