Wireless Clarifies DJ Khaled's Cancelled Performance, Blaming 'Scheduling Conflict'

Davido's performance was made extra colourful as he took to the main stage immediately after the English National Team had just sealed qualification into the Semi-finals of the World Cup 2018 in Russian Federation following a 2 nil victory over Sweden. Prior to an official announcement, many fans with the skill of spotting basic geographic clues had started to suspect that something was up when he posted vacation shots on social media.

As it turns out, Wireless Festival organizers actually knew for months that DJ Khaled wouldn't be able to make it overseas for his previously announced headlining set.

Festival organisers say they are "working on something special that won't disappoint" but no confirmation yet on what that is.

They don't want you to see DJ Khaled at Wireless Fest-watch some clips of Drake's not-so-last-minute appearance below instead.

"Ain't he meant to be at Wireless today?" Why was my man in a swimming pool not doing soundcheck? Luckily, Drake stepped in to save the show.

One wrote: "Drake is at #wireless... was a good substitution still".

Another wrote: "LOL Wireless are hilarious".

Over the weekend, Davido performed at the Wireless Festival in United Kingdom and it was lit - not just because of his energetic performance. As well as Drae, Lil Uzi Vert Giggs and Rae Sremmurd also played on Sunday.

Despite big names like, UK Grime rapper, Stormzy, Migos and A Boogie With Da Hoodie listed as headline acts for the Saturday leg of the festival which kicked off on Friday, July 6, it was Nigeria's own Davido who was the star of the day.
