Why Donald Trump's United Kingdom trip is great news for Green Day

The American Idiot song, by the American rock group Green Day, is now leading the music charts in the United Kingdom, ahead of the visit of US President Donald Trump.

The song has also come in and out of the top 10 and 20 on iTunes' singles chart in the last few days, the publication reported.

The Facebook campaign to get American Idiot to Number 1 was conceived at the start of Trump's presidency, and went into overdrive when his working visit to the United Kingdom was announced in April.

In related news, fans were able to bring back Green Day's "American Idiot" back in charts. Keep sharing to others what we are all doing! And here I thought life under George W. Bush was the only condition stultifying enough to make that song and album feel like bold political gestures. In response to reports that Trump sent North Korean leader Kim Jong Un a copy of the Elton John song "Rocket Man", the senator joked that Kim should return the favor by giving Trump "American Idiot".
