Samsung’s most innovative phone ever might launch before the Galaxy S10

Still, CES is another six months away, so there's even more time for things to change - especially if Samsung has issues manufacturing the Galaxy X.

Obviously there is usually a couple of weeks minimum between announcement and launch so it seems unusual that they would be announced so close together. Samsung is expected to only manufacture between 300,000 and 500,000 units of its foldable smartphone.

Samsung is also among the major brands that should release a foldable device in 2019, with rumors about the Galaxy X smartphone making the rounds since April 2018. We do not have anything better to offer and companies rarely use logic when naming various phone models so it may well happen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be announced on August 9 at the next Unpacked event. We will bring you all the Note 9 details and local flavour once it is announced next week. Furthermore, the report asserts that the Samsung SDI is developing a foldable phone with V-shaped battery.

The Korean conglomerate is said to have figured out a way to make large-capacity batteries that can store between 3,000mAh and 6,000mAh of power, reports ITHome. We've already heard from analysts that 2019 will be the year we'll see the foldable handset, meaning a CES unveiling could be on the cards.

Additionally, continuing Samsung's usual schedule, the Galaxy S10 lineup will be launched at MWC 2019, the tipster has claimed.

In addition to the folding screen and high price tag, the Galaxy X is expected to feature a Snapdragon 845 and at least 6GB of RAM.
