Miami Man Without Arms Charged With Using Scissors To Stab Tourist

But on Tuesday, he was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, said Miami-Dade Corrections.

South Beach denizens know Crenshaw as a street artist who paints colorful canvases along sidewalks, according to The Miami Herald.

A 46-year-old homeless man with no arms was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, for stabbing another man with a pair of scissors using his feet, police said on Wednesday.

Jonathan Crenshaw, 46, held a pair of scissors with his feet and stabbed 22-year-old Cesar Coronado just after midnight early Tuesday, on South Florida, US, according to police.

He told officers he was lying on the ground when the victim came up to him and punched him in the head.

Neither men dispute that Coronado was stabbed, but Crenshaw said he was attacked first, according to the arrest report.

Police found Crenshaw a short distance away, on the 200 block of Lincoln Road.

Coronado was visiting the area with his friend from Chicago.

Coronado told investigators he stopped to ask Crenshaw for directions before he jumped up and stabbed him. Paramedics took him to an area hospital for treatment.

Police found Crenshaw nearby after he was described to officers as a homeless man without arms.

His arrest record includes offences dating back to 2008 for trespassing, disorderly intoxication, vandalism and battery on police officers among others.
