Maurizio Sarri to be announced as manager in next 48 hours

Incoming Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly very keen to sign Senegal and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, as the Italian seeks to reinforce his squad for next season.

Sarri has been mightily impressive with Napoli since his arrival, with the Italian helping the the club very almost win Serie A this season, however they fell just short to eventually champions Juventus by a few points.

As has been previously reported, Sarri will sign a two-year contract at Chelsea worth £4.5 million a year (Express), with an option for a third season, and the 59-year-old is likely to bring Blues icon Gianfranco Zola back to the Bridge in a coaching role. This would bring the end to Antonio Conte's time in charge.

Chelsea are yet to announce the departure of Antonio Conte who won the FA Cup title last season, and this must be done before a new man will be announced as his replacement.

For the moment Callejon has not asked to leave Napoli, but according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, things could change regarding his plans later in the summer transfer window.

Sarri was officially replaced as head coach by Carlo Ancelotti last month but was kept on by the club as they were not willing to let him leave without being adequately compensated, but it looks like an agreement has now been reached for him to secure a move to Chelsea.

The report further states that Sarri wants to stay close to the Chelsea training ground, Cobham.
