Mahrez says Leicester centre-back Maguire 'deserves to play higher'

Riyad Mahrez recently left Leicester, moving to Manchester City for £67m.

Leicester City are set to offer a new and improved contract to England centre-back Harry Maguire to kill off interest from Manchester United this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph. "He'll have to decide". 'Pep is committed to playing attacking football, which is a flawless for me, and City's performances last season were outstanding.

The Algerian posed for photographs before taking a seat and answering questions about his move to the Etihad Stadium.

Benarbia played most of his football in France and like Mahrez, spent most of his life there before moving to England. We didn't think we were going to lose but we did.

"I believe my own game can develop under Pep's management".

The African star was expected to join City in January this year, but after the Foxes struggled to find an adequate replacement for the winger in time before the window closed, the player remained at Leicester.

"I mean I had Richard Dunne and people used to say, coaches in my dressing room, that would say "get it up the side of him you'd do him for pace".

The Foxes also are better prepared for him to leave this time as they bought highly-rated James Maddison from second-tier Norwich City for £2 million earlier in the close season. "I am very confident about myself". This is the past and we are looking forward now. "Now I'm here and it's the most important". "It's a good thing".

"The Champions League is for big clubs". The Champions League is for big clubs, they're a big club. It is a goal.

"City have ambition to go further than the Champions League quarter-finals like they did last season", he told the club's website. "They're redefining the English game and I wanted to be a part of it", said Mahrez.
