A suspect in the shooting death of rapper XXXTentacion has been charged with first-degree murder, authorities said Wednesday. Detectives say Boatwright and another armed suspect approached the rapper that afternoon in an apparent robbery, and that they are still seeking the second gunman.

Though Allen is named only as a person of interest, he is also the subject of a felony warrant charging him with flakka possession, carrying a concealed firearm and a probation violation, police said. "Onfroy was transported to Broward Health North where he was pronounced dead", the news release continues.

Another suspect, Dedrick Devonshay Williams, 22, was arrested on June 20 - just over than 48 hours after the murder - following a traffic stop in Pompano Beach. He was already on probation until April 2019 on battery and drug charges. After reportedly blocking the vehicle, two more men who were inside the SUV robbed the rapper, whose given name is Jahseh Dwaye Onfroy, at gunpoint.
