Dictionary.com Fact-Checks Forbes’ Claim That Kylie Jenner Is ‘Self-Made’

Jenner now ranks at number 27 on Forbes' list of "America's Richest Self-Made Women".

All together, Jenner's earnings put her fourth in Forbes' annual ranking of America's richest self-made women.

"Another year of growth will make her the youngest self-made billionaire ever, male or female, trumping Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at age 23", Forbes reported. In a cover story about the 20-year-old multi-millionaire, Forbes conservatively values the company at $800 million, with an estimated $330 million in sales last year.

Her wealth is largely derived from the performance of her make-up company Kylie Cosmetics, which has now sold more than 630 million dollars (£475 million) worth of products.

"Calling Kylie Jenner a "self-made billionaire' is like claiming you made soup from scratch because you opened a can and reheated it", while another posted on Twitter: "For f*** sake, if you start the 40-yard dash on the 39-yard line, you are NOT self-made".

Diane Hendricks, co-founder and chairman of ABC Supply, tops the Forbes list, with a net worth of $4.9 billion. "Kylie really fell in love with the natural look, and wanted more of that, so she chose to stop putting filler in her lips".

Even Dictionary.com took a moment to tweet the definition of "self-made", which "means having succeeded in life unaided". "Kylie is a master of branding, and she plays with the concept of mother - the more natural look - and her Kylie Cosmetics look, full glam".
