Aaron Armstrong: Sophie Gradon's boyfriend dies weeks after her death

The boyfriend of Love Island star Sophie Gradon has died, just weeks after her own tragic death.

The body of Aaron Armstrong, 25, was discovered in Blyth in Northumberland this afternoon.

A day before, Armstrong had posted an emotional message for Gradon on Instagram.

The former Miss Great Britain coupled up with Thomas Powell in the villa but hit headlines when she began a relationship with fellow contestant Katie Salmon.

A police spokesman confirmed the death in a statement, saying: "At around 12.20pm today we received a report that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth".

The 32-year-old reality star died June 20 in what officials believe was a suicide at her family's home, according to the Daily Mail.

Aaron confirmed the ceremony was taking place as he shared a picture of the funeral booklet on Instagram with his 49,6000 followers, writing: "I love you with all my heart my lovely angel".

A family friend told the Sun about Armstrong's death: "We're absolutely gutted". He also wrote, "I will see you very soon my angel". "Everyday we spent together was so fantastic I need them days back".

British Love Island star Sophie Gradon had spoken about the devastating affect of being cyberbullied in her final interview just three months before her death.

"I love you so much and just want to hold u tight and give u a big kiss I miss you so so much you will shine so bright up there my angel rest in peace lovely see u on the other side".

Gradon was the only out LGBT person to ever appear on Love Island.
