World Leaders React to Trump’s Bizarre Attacks On Canada

Take the WND Poll!

After declining to respond to questions during a Saturday night photo-op, Trudeau kept his views to himself during a series of photo-ops Sunday with world leaders attending a G7 outreach session in Quebec City. "He did a great disservice to the whole G7", economic advisor Larry Kudlow said on CNN on Sunday. I'll tell you this to my friends in Canada that was one of the worst political miscalculations of a Canadian leader in modern Canadian history.

President Donald Trump's top economic adviser says Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "really kind of stabbed us in the back" when Trudeau said at the end of the Group of Seven summit that Canada wouldn't be pushed around by the USA and its trade tariffs.

In particular, Trump said he expects that he will either be able to convince Canada and Mexico to significantly reshape the North American Free Trade Agreement or that he will create new trade deals with each country separately. And I say, push him around? "We need to avoid a continued tit-for-tat escalation", she said.

"He really stabbed us in the back".

Chief trade adviser Peter Navarro said there's "a special place in hell" for Trudeau and anyone else who negotiates in "bad faith" with Trump.

President Donald Trump's fight with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau not only threatens to unravel the US's relationship with one of its oldest global partners - it could also significantly damage the USA economy.

The announcement put Trump in a rage and he branded the Canadian PM as "dishonest and weak" and accused him of stabbing the U.S. Navarro later clarified that his comments were "the sentiment that was on Air Force One after that".

In response, Macron said in a statement France would stand by the G-7 joint communiqué - which includes a pledge by the seven leading industrialized democracies to "continue to fight protectionism" - despite Trump's refusal.

"That's what weak, dishonest Justin Trudeau did", Navarro said. And what did Trudeau do as soon as the plane took off from Canadian airspace?

"He really kinda stabbed us in the back", top USA economic advisor Larry Kudlow said of Trudeau on CNN's "State of the Union".

Addressing reporters in Singapore ahead of Trump's summit Tuesday with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Pompeo said he was "unconcerned" that Trump's treatment of Canada - a close ally - boded poorly for his ability to forge peace with a longtime US adversary.

Trump said the United States has been subjected to unfair trade duties for many years.

Trudeau had been saying the same thing for several weeks, but Trump apparently found it reprehensible to repeat the message on the eve of his historic summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. The U.S. president withdrew from it later, complaining he'd been blindsided by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's criticism of his tariff threats during a summit-ending news conference. Does he wear the makeup in the family? If it is fake, I have little hope for Canada while he is in charge.
