Vienna Possible Spot for Trump-Putin Summit

President Donald Trump headed into the Group of Seven summit in Canada at odds with allies over USA trade penalties.

"I think it would be an asset to have Russian Federation back in", Trump said during an impromptu press conference at the summit.

During a recent Q & A session Putin answered a question about the chances for the WWIII with a quote from the famous physicist Albert Einstein: "I don't know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones".

"I cordially congratulate you on the state holiday - Russia Day".

Asked if Mr Trump was a good friend to the UK, Mrs May told Channel 4: "The United States and the United Kingdom are good friends".

Putin said regarding purchasing power parity, SCO member states have surpassed G7 countries. "It would require consensus to bring Russian Federation back and that consensus will just not happen".

"Today it is hard to say what these guarantees may look like or when they will come into effect", he said.

But EU President Donald Tusk also rejected the idea.

She said that "before any such conversations can take place" about readmitting Russian Federation, the Kremlin "needs to change its approach".

"I regard this as much like a family quarrel". "So we influenced the USA elections and he gifted us Europe for that?"

Trump arrived late for Saturday's meeting during the Group of Seven summit of leading industrialized nations being held in Quebec.

Trump was heading into a bigger controversy over trade as other G7 leaders, including host Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, have been angered over Washington's imposition of tariffs on steel and aluminum imported from allies including Canada and the European Union. "If it doesn't happen, we come out even better!" She said the two leaders exchanged pleasantries and briefly discussed trade.

"President Putin and I both think that the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership is mature, firm and stable", Xi told reporters after the meeting in Beijing on Friday. "We'll see how it all works out". "Putin should get nothing for free".

Pang Zhongying, a senior fellow at Pangoal, a Beijing-based research institution, said the SCO faced the same underlying tensions as the G7 as governments favour unilateral actions over collective ones.

Moscow was suspended from the G8 in 2014, after it annexed Crimea.

"For four years, we have been saying we will extend again if and when the Minsk agreements are respected", Macron said. And that's really my wish.

Trump's presidency has been clouded by a federal investigation into Russian meddling into the 2016 presidential election, and possible collusion by Trump's campaign.

"The President has inexplicably shown our adversaries the deference and esteem that should be reserved for our closest allies", Republican Sen.

Some say that only when Putin changes his behavior and begins acting like a civilized human being can he be treated to a photo opportunity with the American president. "It makes no sense".

Also, Peter Navarro, Trump's trade adviser, criticized Trudeau on Fox News Sunday.
