Trump 'an inspiration,' fan says at Duluth rally

"It was a great meeting", Trump said of his historic meeting with Kim in Singapore earlier this month.

By one count, the Trump administration has eliminated 22 regulations for every new one it implemented.

He even invoked his campaign kickoff speech, held three years ago this week, in which he declared that Mexico "wasn't sending their best" in terms of migrants crossing into the U.S. That wasn't the only throwback moment at the rally, featuring a packed arena festooned with American flags and approximately 8,000 people responding in chants to many of Trump's cues. I'm richer than they are. Aside from being the sort of childish brag a child would be embarrassed to be caught saying, does someone actually need to tell Trump it's his side that calls liberals "the elite"?

After bringing Stauber on stage for brief remarks, the president launched into his usual list of talking points.

And now the state is home to some of the most closely watched House races in the country, two Senate races and a competitive governor's contest, making Minnesota a top Republican target this year.

Trump had repeatedly and falsely blamed the Democratic Party for creating the "law", which does not exist - as the Huffington Post reported - that caused children to be ripped from their parents at the border. "Our neighbors in Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota have all turned red and now it's our turn".

Trump's 2020 campaign declined to comment beyond a June 11 statement it issued announcing the Duluth event. Attending will be representatives and workers from the mining and steel industries, local elected officials and members and Congress from the state, which he narrowly lost in 2016.

"I feel like Trump truly does care about Americans", said Schwartz, who drove 12 hours to see the president on Wednesday.

As they were being escorted out, Trump ridiculed the protesters and asked whether one of them was a man or woman.

With Trump or against him?

"I think it's a pretty cut-and-dried case in this instance", said Peppin, who worked for another GOP candidate for governor who has since quit the race.

Duluth is the biggest city in Minnesota's sprawling 8th congressional district, which Trump won in 2016 with 54.2 percent of the vote. "And Mr. President, these are the same people who are gong to send me to Washington so together we can unleash the economic engine in northeast Minnesota".

Stauber is the only Republican running for the seat, while five Democrats are competing in the August 14 primary. Tina Smith, told the audience on Wednesday. The Inquisitr reported on the most insane moments from his recent rally in MI, in which Trump pledged to "shut down the country", exhorted the crowd to boo Republican Senator John McCain who is suffering from terminal brain cancer, and brought Lewandowski on stage with him, where the former campaign manager proceeded to scream.

And during the section of Trump's speech where he name checks certain Republican candidates, Trump repaid Pawlenty's absence by not mentioning him.

She said Trump "connects with people".

The rally in Duluth is officially for Pete Stauber, a Republican congressional candidate running in a traditionally Democratic district.
