The Quiet Man Announced For PS4 and PC By Square Enix

Alongside the Final Fantasy, Just Cause 4, and Tomb Raider announcements, Square Enix revealed a new game called The Quiet Man. It's fine if Square Enix didn't have enough material to put on a unique 30-minutes presentation, but that doesn't mean you should put old footage into it.

Video game stories from other sites on the web.

The Quiet Man is now in development for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Square are promising "more to come" in August which suggests we'll have to keep guessing until then. The trailer starts out in live-action before transitioning to an in-game action sequence where our hero fights a pair of gangsters.

Developer Platinum Games, which also made Nier: Automata, gave a glimpse of its upcoming project with a timeline-centric trailer. Of course, we can expect another look atShadow of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 4.

What was Just Cause 4 doing here?

Square Enix and Capcom, meanwhile, will have a Final Fantasy XIV - Monster Hunter World crossover event slated for Summer 2018.

Dragon Quest XI will be releasing on PS4 and Steam in the west on September 4.

What was disappointing though was that there was no mention at all of Square Enix's Avengers game, which a year ago they'd implied would be revealed at E3.
