Square Enix E3 2018: The Five Biggest Announcements

Kingdom Hearts III has been all over E3 2018, and it's shown up once more for Sony's press conference.

We'll find out more about the game this August.

Additionally, Square Enix announced it will release a PlayStation 4 Pro Limited Edition and Kingdom Hearts All-In-One Package including Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue only on PlayStation 4.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age got a new trailer and a release date: September 4. Monster Hunter: World and Final Fantasy XIV will be pairing up in Summer 2018 as the Rathalos appears in FFXIV.

Either way, this one has a low-key, gritty visual aesthetic compared to other Square Enix games, so it should be interesting to follow moving forward.

The "day one" Edition of Light is available either physically or digitally for PS4 or PC.

Square Enix next showed a trailer for their upcoming title Babylon's Fall. Finally, for the Sony press conference, we have a completely different trailer, and it's one that doesn't focus on strictly on Pixar and recent Disney Animation Studios works (Tangled, Frozen). This time around we got to see how the English translation is progressing, and so far we're impressed. They also haven't helped themselves by really bigging up their return to gaming's biggest event, only to set up shop, sell their incomplete wares, and pack it all up again before people even really had enough of a chance to browse.

Outside of that, there was a sneak peek at a new title called The Quiet Man, which at first glance seems to be a title devoted to a deaf man punching Hispanic dudes in alleys throughout NY. The combat hinted toward using the silence as a weapon, stating that "silence rings loudest".
