Sadio Mane offers update on his future

It was suggested in France that Mane had agreed to join Real before Zinedine Zidane's resignation.

"But you never know what will happen in the future".

Mane levelled the scores for Liverpool in the Champions League final but could not prevent his side slipping to a 3-1 defeat to Madrid in Kiev.

Mane scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 29 games in the Premier League in 2017-18.

The Senegal worldwide made 44 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's charges in all competitions this past season and scored 20 goals while providing nine assists.

He added: "As I said, I'm happy in Liverpool".

Alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, the African star has become one of the most sought-after attackers in Europe, which has prompted interest from Los Blancos.

With the Reds already active in the transfer market, signing Fabinho from Monaco and Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, manager Jurgen Klopp would hope that Mane can achieve his dream of winning more trophies by staying at Anfield.

Mane will be one of his country's key players as they take on Colombia, Japan and Poland in Russian Federation in the World Cup in the coming weeks. The defeat is but ticked off. But the former French International shocked the world when he announced his departure, four days after Real Madrid's Champions League.

England could come up against Senegal in the second round of the World Cup, which could see Mané potentially line up directly against teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
