Rose McGowan Indicted On Drug Charge In Virginia

Rose was arrested on a felony drug charge in Virginia in November 2017.

In the incident, police claim to have found several small bags of white powder in the star's wallet, which she left behind on an airplane after arriving at Washington Dulles International. The actress said she reported the wallet missing when she realized it was not on her person. In court filings, McGowan's attorneys suggested someone connected to Weinstein planted the illicit materials in a bid to damage her credibility.

Through a spokesperson, Weinstein has consistently denied any allegations of "non-consensual sex". When the narcotics accusations against McGowan surfaced, she said it was an attempt to silence her and was a "load of horsesh*t".

USA actress and activist Rose McGowan has been indicted on one count of cocaine possession.

A Loudon County, Virginia grand jury has indicted McGowan and a date for her trial will be set Tuesday, according to WTOP 103.5 in Washington, D.C.

The actress has maintained that the drugs in her wallet were “planted” by people associated with Harvey Weinstein

"Imagining I'm going into sisterly solidarity, I can think of nothing more opposed to that, energetically, that I would want in my body at that moment", she said referring to the cocaine.

Her attorney, Jim Hundley, did not comment on the indictment on Monday.

"I'm the only one who's had handcuffs on me so far in this situation", she told the publication.

Weinstein pleaded not guilty to the sexual assault charges.

Weinstein couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
