Robert De Niro Apologizes to Justin Trudeau for Donald Trump's 'Idiotic Behavior'

Robert De Niro, fresh off the Tony Awards stage where he attacked the US president, and celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa are in Toronto today to launch a major new development.

Robert DeNiro launched a stinging attack against Donald Trump at the Tony Awards last night, dropping the F-bomb twice within a matter of seconds. In the past, De Niro has also referred to Trump as both "our baby-in-chief" and "the jerkoff-in-chief". "The hypocrisy of the left".

"With regards to the news today, sir, I have only two words for you: Thank you", said Toronto Mayor John Tory to De Niro.

'How to get a STANDING OVATION at The Tonys?

It was hardly the first time that De Niro, who was born in NY and lives in the city, attacked fellow New Yorker Trump. "It's no longer down with Trump, it's F*** Trump!"

Meryl Streep also took aim at Trump in a now-famous speech at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards, calling him out for his mocking of a disabled reporter during the 2016 campaign.

Kathy Griffin shared a pic of her and one of De Niro, writing: 'The F**k Trump Club'.

The denunciation is less of a surprise when you consider that a month before Trump was elected, De Niro made a video in which he called him a "pig" and a "bullshit artist".

While it was hoped that the trip could be used to help defuse tensions over a brewing trade war between the two countries, Trump began firing off tweets lashing out at Trudeau nearly as soon as he left. "Yeah ... I'm gonna need to know what he just said".

One person tweeted, "De Niro bleeped twice?"

De Niro's new Toronto development will be built at 15 Mercer Street, near King Street West and Blue Jays Way, in the city's downtown core. "It's all about the man and his music, not to mention the heartfelt stories behind 40 years of incredible songs", said Joel, who credited Springsteen for bringing many new theatergoers into the Broadway fold.
