Real Madrid €170m for Milinkovic-Savic

Real Madrid €170m for Milinkovic-Savic

The Serbian International rose to fame after a superb season in Italy with Lazio.

According to the same story, Manchester United want to sign Milinkovic-Savic this summer but they are aware that Lazio value him at around £100m.

Letting him join Lazio could have the biggest risk of all, if it helps rivals Manchester United clinch their biggest signing of the summer.

The race to sign Milinkovic-Savic takes an interesting turn.

The powerful midfielder is a summer target for Real Madrid and Juventus, and Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the Lazio star.

According to Il Messaggero newspaper and Spanish paper AS, the Blancos are prepared to offer €150m plus another €20m in performance-related bonuses.

Grujic is Milinkovic-Savic's understudy for Serbia, and plays with a similar style, a combination of physicality and technique.

Milinkovic-Savic has been heavily linked with a move away from Lazio after they failed to secure Champions League football next season.

The 23-year-old will be offered a £5.3m annual wage, which will rise over the contract's five-year duration.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, could be set to enter a period of change.

The 13 time UEFA Champions League winners, who are without a head coach at the moment, are looking to bolster their squad this summer having not spent much money in the last two years. Their preferred midfield trio has an average age of 28.

It is unlikely that Milinkovic-Savic's future will be sorted before the end of the FIFA World Cup, where he is one of the players to watch.
