Pulitzer Prize Winner, Author Charles Krauthammer Dies At 68

Krauthammer, a longtime Fox News contributor and Pulitizer Prize victor, passed away at age 68 after losing his battle with cancer. Doctors thought the surgery had been successful, but then Krauthammer was told the cancer returned and he only had a few weeks live.

Charles Krauthammer was a celebrated political analyst, a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and an author. In early June revealed that he likely had just weeks to live.

Baier said that, before his death, Krauthammer was able to see the outpouring of support and love for him and his life's work, after Baier told the Special Report audience of the state of the commentator's health. "This is the final verdict", he wrote.

"I believe that the pursuit of truth and right ideas through honest debate and rigorous argument is a noble undertaking", he said. "I am grateful to have played a small role in the conversations that have helped guide this extraordinary nation's destiny".

He would use those same writing skills as a columnist for the Washington Post and commentator for Fox News.

Krauthammer is survived by his wife Robyn and their son Daniel, as well as his mother.

He wrote in the Post column that he left his life with no regrets.
