Pres. Trump won't invite National Basketball Association champions to White House

"We're not going to invite either team", he told reporters Friday morning.

The president held "A Celebration of America" event instead. "I don't like that". Most recently, LeBron James spoke on Trump dis-inviting the Eagles.

Hockey's Pittsburgh Penguins and baseball's Houston Astros have accepted invitations to the White House for the traditional meeting with the President in recent months, as have several college teams.

Trump congratulated the Capitals on his Twitter feed after the team won the National Hockey League title with a 4-3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. I am going to ask all of those people to recommend to me-because that's what they're protesting-people that they think were unfairly treated by the justice system...

What exactly did LeBron James say about Trump?

Clearly Trump doesn't get it.

U.S. President Donald Trump on field during the national anthem prior to the CFP National Championship presented by AT&T between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on January 8, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia.

This is not Trump's "light bulb" moment. "Let's not let someone uninviting you to their house take away from that moment..." If you can't beat em', bribe em'. Sounds like another win for whoever nabs the championship. Reportedly only a handful of players planned to go.

Warriors star Stephen Curry agreed with James, saying his team will likely repeat their stance from last season if they win the championship again.

Earlier this week, members of both National Basketball Association teams - and especially James - ripped Trump over his decision to disinvite the NFL's Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles from the White House.

"Listen we have a lot of freedom in our country". There are a lot of people that believe that he's not for the people or doing things that's right by the people. We had the New England Patriots. We'll see. You know, my attitude is if they want to be here, the greatest place on Earth, I'm here.

That's good because on Friday President Donald Trump made it clear he doesn't want them there either.
