New Platinum game Babylon’s Fall revealed in Square Enix E3 Showcase 2018

Square Enix's conference, meanwhile, was supposed to show the publisher back to their best, but instead it showed them at their most complacent.

While Square Enix's showcase was ultimately disappointing, it's all their own doing.

It's out next year, but only for PlayStation 4 and PC.

A number of Square Enix titles have already been revealed at some of the other showcases including Kingdom Hearts III and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This game is being developed for PS4 and Steam by Platinum games and will release in 2019.

We've taken everything that players loved from our previous games and with brand new features, enhanced physics and core gameplay improvements, we've created the most ambitious Just Cause experience to date. We saw Kingdom Hearts III and Shadow of the Tomb Raider during Microsoft's press briefing on Sunday, but we should get a deeper dive on both titles at the Square Enix event, especially with both coming out in the coming months. Nobody was forcing them to host a press conference, but when you hold one, people naturally have expectations. Visually it's very good, capturing the likenesses of the characters very well indeed. Monster Hunter: World and Final Fantasy XIV will be pairing up in Summer 2018 as the Rathalos appears in FFXIV.

We're also really looking forward to playing the free prequel to Life Is Strange 2, called The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit - which will be released on June 26.
