Rodman has, likewise, become a friend of North Korea's dictator Kim Jong-un and, by his own admission, he has "fallen in love with North Korea" and its people.

Rodman, who has developed a friendship with Kim over the years, told CNN's Chris Cuomo that he tried to arrange a meeting with Trump's predecessor but was turned away. Rodman didn't explain the conditions in detail, only mentioning that moving "ships" back from South Korea was part of them.

Well, the historic summit between North Korea and the USA has left with the two men signing an agreement on denuclearization, recovering of the remains of missing persons during the Korean War, the establishment of American relations with the regime, and the cessation of U.S.

"It is perfectly reasonable to hope that we are seeing the beginning of a process that will lead to a complete, permanent, verifiable end to North Korea's nuclear capabilities". Trump agreed to provide "security guarantees" to North Korea, and both countries agreed to renew relations and meet again.

"Today is a great day for everybody", he explained.

Trump ruled out immediate sanctions relief for North Korea after his meeting with Kim, saying it would come "when we are sure that the nukes are no longer a factor".

"Mr Trump is a shrewd negotiator, just because he said one thing doesn't mean that he's going to do that", he said.

Speaking earlier in the day in Beijing, the China's top diplomat, State Councillor Wang Yi, said China hoped the United States and North Korea can reach agreement on a peace deal.

'I had to hide out, I couldn't even go home, ' he said. "We would like to ask North Korea to make policy changes in a visible way", Onodera said, expressing concern about Trump's plans to suspend the joint exercises with Seoul. -North Korea summit would be back on track following the two Koreas' surprise summit on May 26. Mr Rodman is one of the few Westerners to have met the North Korean leader on visits to the capital city of Pyongyang. The statement comes on the heels of Trump slamming Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as dishonest and weak while instructing his advisors to back out of a joint statement he had agreed to with USA allies at the G-7 summit.

"I think (Kim) didn't realize who Donald Trump was at that time, I guess, until he started to read the book and started to get to understand him", Rodman said in a May interview with TMZ. "No hatred. No more hatred".

THE FACTS: He's overstating the number of missing service personnel and glossing over the surely impossible odds of locating the remains of "all of the people" more than six decades after the Korean War.

"I've always been an advocate of involving Dennis Rodman", Clapper noted to Cuomo.

"It's clear that Kim Jong Un walked away from Singapore with exactly what he wanted - the pomp, circumstance and prestige of a meeting with the president of the United States - while making no specific commitments in return", said Sen. "So that tells you".
