Jim Jones Arrested on Drug, Gun Charges

According to TMZ, rapper Jim Jones is facing a ton of charges following an arrest in Cowetta County, Georgia.

WSB-TV reports the Coweta County authorities spied a gray Mercedes SUV heading south on I-85, which is fine, but it allegedly drifted into the left hand emergency lane multiple times.

The cop vehicle reportedly pulled up the whip, noticed smoke and instructed the driver to pull over.

Jones, who's been seen on Love & Hip Hop: New York, was subsequently arrested in connection with possession of firearm during the commission of a crime, narcotics possession, marijuana possession and theft by receiving stolen property - all felonies, the Times-Herald reported. When police got of the auto, the SUV pulled off.

After a search, deputies said they found marijuana, oxycodone, Percocet among other drugs along with two loaded pistols and cash.

Marijuana was also found scattered through the vehicle, along with a Ruger SR 9mm handgun reported stolen from Dekalb County in March. Another backpack was found that contained more Oxy pills, Percocet, THC oil, a passport and $148 in cash. Jones also told cops he told the driver to pull over, but she was acting "incoherent".

The "Harlem" rapper was also charged with a misdemeanor for the prescription pills not being in their original container.

All four people were booked into the Coweta County Jail early Thursday but after a trip to Newnan Piedmont Hospital first.

Miles, 23, was charged with aggravated assault, fleeing/attempting to elude police, theft by receiving stolen property, narcotics possession, marijuana possession, risky drugs to be kept in original container, aggressive driving and failure to maintain lane.

The passengers in the SUV - Jamal Rajhun Smith, 32, and Darnell Maurice Wright, 31, were both charged with possession of firearm during commission of a crime and drug charges.

Jim Jones is now out on $7,000 bail.
