Under the hood, we have the same 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V8 that continues to deliver 526-hp at 8,250rpm and 429 lb-ft (581 Nm) of torque.

Created to deliver faster lap times and better performance overall, the 2019 GT350 has a number of aerodynamic improvements including an all-new rear spoiler with an optional Gurney flap.

Ford reveals GT350 updates, but the one change United Kingdom customers are waiting for remains elusive.

The Ford Mustang was refreshed for the 2018 model year and that refresh included a new exterior look, more power for the 5.0-liter V8, new technology and an overall improvement in performance - whether you are drag racing or road racing. The team also optimized the grille closeout thanks to the experience the team gained from the wind tunnel development of the Ford Performance Mustang road course racing cars and upcoming Shelby GT500 model.

Stopping power is provided by six-piston front and four-piston rear calliper Brembo brakes, while Ford has also tweaked the vehicle's electric power steering and three-mode electronic stability control settings.

The Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker touts improved aerodynamics, handling and balance, and a new spoiler with some added features as the major improvements to the Shelby GT350. The accompanying six-speed manual gearbox is one of the best in the business, too.

"It's a rewarding auto to drive on track for amateurs and pros alike, while making the driver feel like a superhero".

Ford has announced several upgrades for the 2019 Mustang Shelby GT350. "It's confidence inspiring in corners and begs to be pushed harder and to take corners faster".

But performance wasn't the only focus for the updated GT350, the cabin was updated with more amenities. Power-adjustable seats with synthetic suede inserts are available at extra cost, to go with the dark gray, contrast-stitched synthetic suede door panels. Buyers can also opt for factory-painted racing stripes in high-gloss Shadow Black, Oxford White or Kona Blue. And that does make a degree of sense - unlike the standard Mustang's front fascia, the Shelby's is designed for heavy duty track work, channeling air where it's needed.

"Along with improved grip, brake and chassis refinements, Shelby GT350 brings a whole new level of performance driving", Billy Johnson, driver for FIA World Endurance Ford GT and IMSA Mustang GT4, said in a corresponding news release.
