Fallout 76 Finally Gets a Release Date, and It’s Later This Year

Yes, this is a multiplayer Fallout title.

Obviously, with the game being online, with real players as characters, Bethesda want to stress test the game as much as possible. But there is one thing you can do to ensure you play the game before anyone else.

Fallout 76 can be played solo, although it will be more hard to survive on your own.

The world got an in-depth look at what to expect with Fallout: 76 during Bethesda's E3 press conference on Sunday.

Fallout 76 features a new rendering system offering 16x the view across the map.

Taking players right to the very beginning, Fallout 76 is set just 25 years after a nuclear war that ravaged the United States. There is also no word on if there will be an open beta after this one happens. The latest game from the Fallout franchise takes place entirely online, meaning you'll be able to play with other players if you'd like for the first time and either team up to fight monsters or try to blow each other's limbs off starting on November 14. It wasn't explicitly explained, but it's likely you'll reload in a different world at your last save point if you die. You will be able to join your friends whenever you want, and all of your progression will go along with you. There was no word about private servers or a way to remove the PvP side of the game. Scattered around West Virginia will be functioning nuclear missile silos ready to launch on any target thanks to the good old United State government. You'll have to deal with risky radiation, but you'll also find new enemies that deliver major rewards. Furthermore, the game is being powered by all-new visuals, lighting, and landscape technology, resulting in the most 'dynamic world ever created in the Fallout universe'.

While there were plenty of big announcements at Bethesda's E3 2018 Showcase, a smaller one may have escaped you. There will be a special collector's edition of the game that comes with a map of the territory that glows in the dark, as well as a fully wearable Power Armor helmet.
