E3 2018: Resident Evil 2 Remake Release Date Confirmed

E3 2018: Resident Evil 2 Remake Release Date Confirmed

The Resident Evil 2 remake will launch on January 25, 2019 for PS4.

There was also plenty of gore and that distinctive flavour of Resident Evil cheese, both of which will be a relief to long-time Resident Evil fans.

When Resident Evil 2 made its debut 20 years ago, it featured a fixed camera much like its predecessor, Resident Evil.

Resident Evil 2 remake players will also find themselves interacting with a cast of familiar faces, with the trailer confirming the return of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, as well as the mysterious Ada Wong and the ill-fated RPD officer Marvin Branagh.

A Resident Evil 2 HD remaster and/or remake has been in the works off-and-on for a while now, having first been announced in August 2015 before going dark for a couple of years.

We're due to see the game in detail tomorrow, when E3 proper begins.

The modern graphics have given this game exactly what it needed in terms of visuals. "The first look at E3 is just a taste of what's to come". Leon and Claire must work together to survive and uncover the cause of the outbreak.

Twenty years later, the new Resident Evil 2 sees the nightmare return, now with unprecedented levels of immersion as seen in last year's acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard.

Zombies now react in real time as they take instant visible damage, making every bullet from the player count. On the PlayStation Blog, Capcom used the Raccoon City Police Department as an example and said that there will be all new areas to explore. "We want fans to see the reimagining of Resident Evil 2 not only captures the magic of the beloved original, but also expands it to deliver a richer experience".

Step into the rookie shoes of both heroes - Enjoy separately playable campaigns for both Leon and Claire, allowing players to see the story from both characters' perspective.
