E3 2018: Prey: Mooncrash DLC Announced With New Game Updates

It's rolling out a huge update tonight that includes three new modes - Story, New Game+, and Survival.

Arkane Studios is working on a bunch of new content for its first-person horror role-playing game "Prey", publisher Bethesda announced during its E3 2018 press conference. First, there's a free update that adds Story, Survival, and New Game + modes to the immersive sim. Shortly after the events of Prey, TranStar's secret moon base stops transmitting - and now it's up to Peter to find out why.

The new DLC showcases how every way you play the game is unique and yes you'll be heading to the moon. kind of. With changing environments as unsafe as they are dynamic, the Mooncrash campaign for Prey will offer a fun, infinitely replayable challenge to test even the most skilled players.

"In Mooncrash, players take on the role of a hacker named Peter who's stationed aboard a spy satellite tasked with intercepting TranStar communications". Trapped on the station and bound by a ruthless contract with TranStar rival KASMA Corp, Peter's only hope of seeing his family again is uncovering the moon base's lost secrets.

Search for Secrets, Loot...and a Way Off - Arkane Studios' talent for detail and story-rich environments comes alive in Mooncrash. And secondly, there's Mooncrash, a full-length expansion that costs $20. Improvise and innovate in order to survive as you search for answers.

Additionally, Prey will be getting a multiplayer mode called Typhon Hunter, which will pit human players against other players, who will be stepping into the gooey tentacles of a mimic.

Announced alongside the Prey: Typhon Hunter VR multiplayer mode will be an escape room VR mode, called TranStar VR.

Prey: Mooncrash and Prey: Digital Deluxe are available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
