PlayStation also revealed during its E3 showcase that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available to PlayStation Plus subscribers as of tonight, which is just lovely.

PlayStation 4 Europe and Xbox One: If you own a copy of the game, you can purchase a separate upgrade to your base version through the PSN Store or Xbox Store to receive the Black Ops Pass.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will come with the Black Ops Pass which includes a classified bonus Zombies experience, the four upcoming Zombies maps, 12 multiplayer maps and four exclusive Blackout characters along with Digital Bonus Items and 2,400 Call of Duty Points.

Pricing for the Black Ops Pass was not announced; we'll report back with more details later. This time around, the DLC will be packaged as the "Black Ops Pass", and for the time being you can't purchase it separately.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC Oct. 19. You have to get it as part of the Digital Deluxe, Digital Deluxe Enhance, and the Pro Edition.

This might be confusing for those that buy the standard edition of the game and want to get the season pass down the line.

Q: Can I buy Black Ops Pass as a standalone product? .

Update: As kindly pointed out by reader Roe in the comments section, Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be available free for a full month, until 11th July.

Activision's FAQ page for the Black Ops Pass contains some justification: "We're redefining the digital content season for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 by delivering more content with more frequency". As more is learned about the game and the Black Ops Pass, however, this could change.
