Beyond Good and Evil 2 Gets Beautiful Images Showing Familiar Characters

Beyond Good and Evil 2 took the stage early at Ubisoft's E3 2018 press conference with an impressive, and likely expensive, cinematic trailer. Apparently Jade is the villain of the game even though it's a prequel. That pig is Pey'j, a major character from the first game. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. System 3 has become the center of interstellar trade and colonization in the Milky Way of the 24th century, thanks to the creation of Hybrid slaves. While private enterprises fight over resources and power, the first colonists weave together the rich and diverse cultural heritage of "Old Earth" to give meaning to their existence.

While you're here, here's everything we know about the setting, characters and, release date of Beyond Good and Evil 2. It's not a massively multiplayer online game like many assumed.

Ubisoft is taking that process one step further by partnering with HitRECord - a collaborative creative platform founded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt - and inviting artists to create content for the game, such as poster designs, radio ads, and music. Players will control their own custom space pirate, tasked with navigating from planet to planet doing general piratey things.

The presentation was partly set in the futuristic and decidedly exotic city of Ganesha somewhere in the reaches of space, heavily (and clearly) inspired by Indian arts and culture.

They did however announce more news will be arriving soon at a planned event called BG Fest taking place this autumn.
