Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United

Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United

"United wants to extend Anthony's deal and does not want him to leave but we do not find an agreement for several months".

Martial has struggled to progress under Jose Mourinho, who has often favoured others over the Frenchman in his side over the past year.

The unequivocal nature of Lamboley's comments suggest there will now be no way back for his client at United and after Mourinho made it clear he will allow star names to leave this summer if they indicate a desire to move on, that path now seems inevitable for Martial.

"After looking at all the possibilities and different factors, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United", Martial's agent told French outlet RMC via Get French Football News.

It has been reported that he might look to leave United in the summer after being left out of the France World Cup squad with Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Chelsea all believed to be interested.

"I think when United, the most powerful club in the world, is not in agreement in eight months of negotiations, it's that they don't really want to make him an important player in the team". That's why this decision has come - it's a well-thought-out decision.

Martial is under contract for next season and the United also have the option for the 2019-20 season. "On top of that, I can tell you that without the fans' unconditional support Anthony would have already asked for a transfer", he added. "Today, Anthony is disappointed because he has shown for three seasons the love he has for the club and its supporters".

"But he got hooked and showed great professionalism and was successful". He brought Alexis Sanchez in January, limiting Martial's game time even further, infuriating the fans and the player alike. "He just wants to play, find pleasure, the feeling with the coach will be essential".

Tottenham are also interested, and Martial has intimated that he would be prepared to move to White Hart Lane, though United would rather he was sold overseas.
