Anthony Bourdain's estranged wife breaks her silence

Anthony Bourdain's estranged wife breaks her silence

Late Sunday, Busia posted to Instagram a photo of their daughter, performing at a concert over the weekend.

Gladys opened up about Anthony's legacy in a phone interview with Today on Monday, June 11, and revealed that she last spoke to the iconic chef on Mother's Day on May 13.

"Sitting across from me is the remarkable human and courageous survivor, Asia Argento, who has been through more than most could stand, and yet stand she does. She wore the boots you bought her", Bourdain's ex Ottavia Busia captioned the picture, which showed Ariane in knee-high black boots with studs. I can tell you 100% that they do.

The acclaimed chef and TV host was found dead early Friday in a France hotel room.

Schroeder said a table of Americans didn't check the menu, instead requesting "what Mr. Bourdain is having".

Fans will recall that Bourdain and Busia were married for nine years, but split in 2016. The couple, who professed an unconventional marriage in which Bourdain could be away 250 days a year for commitments including his CNN series "Parts Unknown" and his former Travel Channel series "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations", separated in 2016 but remained friends. He was 61 at the time of his death.

As his career progressed, Anthony documented his love for food on television, his most recent project being the CNN special series, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.

McGOWAN DEFENDS ARGENTO Actress and #MeToo activist Rose McGowan is speaking out in support of her friend Argento, who has been subjected to harsh and often vulgar and misogynist comments by social-media trolls in the wake of Bourdain's suicide.

In the days following Bourdain's death, mourners have flocked to Brasserie Les Halles, the now-shuttered NY restaurant where he once served as executive chef.

A source who worked closely with Bourdain told PEOPLE that being a father was one of the highlights of his life.

Just days before the "Parts Unknown" host's death, fashion designer Kate Spade committed suicide in NY.

Argento tweeted on Friday, "Anthony gave all of himself in everything he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds", the Italian actress wrote. They laughed, they loved and he was her rock during the hardships of this a year ago. McGowan says Argento "did the work to get help, so she could stay alive" for her kids, but "Anthony's depression didn't let him, he put down his armor, and that was very much his choice". My thoughts are with his family.
