If you're not familiar with Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, I'd highly recommend taking advantage of the show's easy availability and checking it out. While her letter was primarily directed toward mental health awareness and advocacy, she also revealed details about the couple's partnership, which seems to have been on the unconventional side.

"Anthony's depression didn't let him, he put down his armour, and that was very much his choice".

Funeral arrangements are in the hands of Bourdain's ex-wife, Ottavia Busia, as she is legally next of kin.

"They laughed, they loved and he was her rock during the hardships of this a year ago", noted McGowan of the star chef's relationship with Argento.

Bourdain, the host of CNN's "Parts Unknown", was found dead on Friday morning in his room at a luxury hotel in the tiny village of Kaysersberg in the Alsace region of northeast France.

Bourdain's tragic death was one of four reported celebrity suicides in less than a week.

Rose McGowan has written a powerful letter in support of Anthony Bourdain's partner, Asia Argento.

"It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain", CNN said in a statement shortly after his death was confirmed.

Bourdain was twice divorced and has a daughter from his second marriage. "I am beyond devastated".

In the days following Bourdain's death, mourners have flocked to Brasserie Les Halles, the now-shuttered ny restaurant where he once served as executive chef.

"It is the whole family of French gastronomy that joins me, to renew our deep friendship to our bereaved American brothers", he added. But his current girlfriend, Asia Argento, and many, many others shared their heartbreak over the chef's death on Friday and throughout the weekend.

She had previously told the New York Post that her son's body was being held up in France due to red tape, and that Busia was handling everything at this time.

Gladys Bourdain said she had no indication that he was considering suicide.

If you or someone you know is considering suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, or text "help" to the Crisis Text Line at 741-741. "I thought, you know what, I not only really want a child, but at this point, finally in my life, I think I'm up to the job".
