A 'Stranger Things' prequel book about Eleven's mom coming this fall

The Netflix hit show Stranger Things is getting a novel next year, but rather than focusing on the existing content, it will serve as a prequel introducing stories the show hasn't covered.

Stranger Things fans, rejoice!

Three titles are planned so far, with the first two titles announced to be a behind-the-scences companion book and a hardcover gift book for young readers. One is a total coffee table book called Stranger Things: World Turned Upside Down: The Official Behind-The-Scenes Companion, another is an as-yet-titled advice guide for youngsters, and the third is a prequel novel by author Gwenda Bond that will detail what happened to Eleven's mother. According to Deadline, the show is now being fixed to be turned into a book that will come out this Fall. Season 2 explored a bit of that backstory from Eleven's point of view, as she discovered what happened to her mother and how she came to have her telekinetic abilities, but a full-length book will shed a lot more light on how that all happened. This wouldn't be the first time Bond's conquered a follow-up novel to a popular series; she's also written books about the infamous Lois Lane. More titles for adults and young readers will continue later in 2019.
