Xiaomi Adds Google Assistant Support to Several Smart Home Products

The product that the customers are looking forward to are the smartphones from Xiaomi. But what if you don't have any Xiaomi smart home products? It has a claimed 16 million color customisations and, thus, can be configured for different colours, moods, or user choices. In regards to the other two products Xiaomi simply mentions that they'll be available soon, which could sometime next month or later in the Summer, but they're unlikely to launch this month with the lamp.

Mi LED Smart Bulb supports up to 16 million colors and will add color to any room. What's more is Xiaomi's Smart Bedside Lamp, Smart LED Bulb, and Smart Plug are all likely to be competitively priced compared to other products of the same type, which means consumers would have to spend less to get a hold of lights and plugs that allow them to turn things off by voice thanks to the Google Assistant technology. This is in line with Xiaomi's announcement at Google I/O 2018 that its smart home products will now work with the Google Assistant, allowing users to control products through a smart speaker, like the Google Home, or with the Google Assistant app. Though "soon" is vague and non-specific, at least those of you who use Xiaomi's smart home products can rest easy that you'll soon be able to control them through Assistant.

Products like the Mi Power Bank Pro, Mi Home Security Camera, and the Mi Electric Scooter are now available in partnership with Amazon. Along with the touch-sensitive panel at the top and the Mi Home app, users can make use of the Assistant's voice control to control the lamp. There's also the Mi Home app, which will let you control your products all the same. There's now no pricing, but seeing as Xiaomi typically prices its products in the affordable range, we'd bet it'l do the same here.
