Voters face host of candidates in North Carolina primaries


Hendricks County Democratic Chairman Charlotte Martin said, "I visited 15 vote centers today and from all the results that I hear from people who voted, the ease of voting using the new poll machines for check in and having more machines to vote - it sounded like it worked really well". Pittenger beat Harris by 134 votes in the 2016 GOP primary in the 9th Congressional District which includes parts of Charlotte and its suburbs, along with poor counties and areas close to Fort Bragg.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has won the Republican primary for governor, sending one of the state's best-known politicians into the fall contest to succeed term-limited Republican Gov. John Kasich.

County elections officials began mailing ballots to military and overseas voters on April 6, 2018.
