STALKER 2 Announced From Original Devs, But Won't Come Anytime Soon

But to help quell concerns, the owner of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. developers GSC Gameworld, Sergiy Grygorovych, confirmed via Facebook that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was real.

Today, a teaser website appeared with nothing more than the text "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2" and "2.0.2.1." placed on top of a dark cracked wall. As for what the odd acronym means, it was apparently revealed to be "Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, and Robbers" back in 2012 when the first attempt at making S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was underway. A large size banner can be seen on the official GSC Game World website along with a direct link to the Stalker 2 website (http://stalker2.com). Ultimately, we will more than likely learn more about the second game straight from the horse's mouth sometime soon. Thankfully, it seems that the studio has gotten back on its feet and they're keen to take another shot at developing the game once again.

Rewinding the clock 11 years back 2007 and we have the original STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl released, pitting gamers into a first-person shooter set in the Soviet-era nuclear power plant of Chernobyl. A new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is like a Russian Half-Life 3. What is your fondest memory from the series?
