Ranking the 5 best Eastern Conference teams LeBron James has destroyed

The Cleveland Cavaliers struggled to shoot the ball against the Boston Celtics throughout Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Eastern Conference Finals at TD Garden on Sunday afternoon, but those offensive lulls compounded into defensive issues.

Coach Tyronn Lue acknowledged that he was at the least considering inserting Tristan Thompson into the lineup after Boston's Al Horford had his way in Game 1, scoring 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting.

"Our confidence level is very high", said Morris, who recorded the first postseason double-double of his career.

With injured stars Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving on the bench in street clothes, the Celtics continued their stunning run this season with what may have been the most surprising turn of events yet.

He finished the opening quarter 8 of 13 from the field and 4 of 7 from the 3-point line.

"We can't really dwell on what happened in Game 1 or any of the games in the Playoffs", Horford reiterated. With how much the Love-Horford match-up appears to be in the Celtics' favour, Cleveland would be better off testing out the change right away in Game 2.

The C's certainly made it hard on James and his supporting cast during Game 1, but that frankly means nothing to Boston's players and coaching staff heading into Game 2.

The two-man game off the ball between Kevin Love and Korver that was so unstoppable against the Raptors had little traction against Boston.

One more reason why signing James is a good idea for the Philadelphia 76ers is that he can serve as a mentor for the team's best players. After surviving the testy Milwaukee Bucks in seven games they quickly dispatched the much-hyped Philadelphia 76ers in five. It all started in the first quarter, when Boston jumped out to a 21-point lead. The best player of his generation averages 20.3 points per game with a paltry 14.6% shooting from three-point range in the last 12 games he's played against a team including Morris.

Just as the Cavaliers rapidly rose to contender status with James on the roster, they could become a nonfactor just as quickly if the multi-time league MVP heads to Philadelphia.

But this time, you didn't see him the way you wanted him to play. However that has not been the case, and the Celtics are now three wins away from being in the National Basketball Association finals.

Cleveland's shooter-centric lineup failed them in Game 1, so they're going big in Game 2.

The bad news is the Cavs are down 1-0 in the series.

And judging the way that the Celtics beat up on the Cavs in Game 1, some would argue that Auerbach's spirit was with them on Sunday, too. "I don't think we were soft defensively". James will not shrink from those moments, however, and he could show Simmons, Embiid and the other 76ers how to get things done when the games matter most. They haven't been favored in any playoff series they've been in this year. But Boston made the first three baskets in the fourth and, after running off nine in a row to make it 96-68 with 7:09 left, the Cavs conceded.

With that being said, the C's can't let the anticipation of a bounce-back game from James and the Cavs allow them to lose sight of their own game plan. "In the pick and rolls, they were able to get downhill a lot, so we've got to clean that up". Morris won the Big 12 Player of the Year award in his junior and final year at Kansas.
