Paladins Will Finally Leave Early Access Next Week

After being released in 2016 and deemed as the most new played game on Steam, Paladins is officially launching out of early access.

According to the announcement made by Hi-Rez Studios, Paladins will be available as a full game on May 8th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

We are so excited for the official release of Paladins.

In order to thank their fans, Hi-Rez plans on giving away up to $100 million in in-game currency.

"If you've been afraid to get really invested into Paladins because we might change things again, don't worry: this launch is our commitment to this vision for Paladins future", the developer pointed out.

Lastly, anyone who logs in between the official May 8th launch and May 31st will receive a special beta participation avatar. In order to further entice players, Hi-Rez are doing something certainly unique for players new and old. The Esports Arena in Las Vegas will also host the launch tournament, on May 5th and 6th. To start off the festivities, all champions are unlocked until May 7th.

According to Larson, the celebration is all about the community. Since Paladins doesn't launch until May 8th, players still have time to try out the game and become eligible for the crystals in the meantime.

There's quite an array of game modes in Paladins, with the main Siege mode (a hybrid of escort and capture the flag) and genre mainstays like TDM joined by a take on Battle Royale.
