Nicholl reveals Ibrox exit at end of season

Rangers face Hibernian in their final Scottish Premiership match of the season, with Jimmy Nicholl in charge for the last time ahead of Gerrard's arrival. With a few weeks rest now until pre-season, Rossiter will he hoping it is nothing serious and he will be able to play a full part in pre-season as he enters his third campaign as a Rangers player.

Gerrard was appointed Rangers boss on a four-year deal last week and has reportedly been told funds will be available to attract high-profile players to Scotland.

But for now, the 37-year-old will continue to work with Liverpool's academy until the summer.

Windass is set to leave the club despite signing a long-term contract with the club in February with a fee of £3m enough for him to move south of the border.

Many Liverpool supporters see Gerrard's decision to accept the Rangers job as his first step to eventually becoming manager of the Reds one day.

"This has been the best experience I have had playing for such a big club as Rangers".

The 32-year-old is closing in on a move to DC United in the USA with a switch likely to be confirmed when the MLS' mid-season transfer window opens on July 10.

I just hope they can.

Cardiff Metropolis are on the path of Rangers attacking midfielder Josh Windass as they put together for a return to the English Premier League.

Bellamy said: 'He's proved what he is.

'This next move has to be right for his lifestyle and his family.

"We'll get them ready and sorted for Sunday and whatever their futures hold, it will be good for some and other ones will have to buck their ideas up".
