MS. MARVEL Headed to MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

But we all know that's just not the case, and if the movie is good, the audience will be there-Black Panther and Wonder Woman have proven that well enough, if there were any lingering doubts. That debut finally took place this weekend and the numbers were absolutely extraordinary.

In North America, Walt Disney Studios estimated on Sunday that "Infinity War" has added $61.8 million from North American theaters, bringing its total domestic earnings to $547.8 million.

That marks the second-largest opening weekend in China for the Marvel Studios film, in terms of local currency. The latest, in typical Deadpool fashion, manages to throw some shade at Avengers: Infinity War. The same report predicts a sure-shot $2 billion gross for Avengers 4. Having billed itself as a small story set on a completely different coast from previous Marvel films, it came as something of a surprise to see Scott Lang and Falcon go up against each other, much less have a bonding moment that would lead to Scott showing up in Civil War.

It also beat the £51.9 million taken in 2012 by Marvel Avengers Assemble to become the most successful Marvel movie ever in the UK.

That makes it now the fifth highest grossing film of all time worldwide, with room to carry on moving up the ranks.

In the "lives" category, we have Howard the Duck (Seth Green), Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), and Nakia - though regarding Lupita Nyong'o's character, the Russos said that she is "deep undercover", which is why she wasn't in Infinity War, but wouldn't comment specifically on her status post-dusting. It ousted Universal's "The Fate of the Furious", which drew $541.9 million worldwide on its opening box office release in 2017.

Thanos is restrained in a still from Avengers: Infinity War.

As for cracking the top two, I don't envision Infinity War pulling it off. The fourth "Avengers" film is due out next year. Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Universal Orlando Resort and more - they can do it all, and at no extra cost to you!
