'Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate' Coming to Nintendo Switch

After storming sales in Japan, Monster Hunter XX is finally coming to the west in the form of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

Highly customizable gameplay - Expanding on the four Styles and supermoves called Hunter Arts introduced in Generations, new indispensable Hunter Arts as well as two Styles are introduced for even further refined personalization options. Capcom states that Generations boasts "the series' largest roster of unique monsters in this nostalgic look back at the series' beginnings and evolutions".

Monster Hunter veterans will surely be spending their time completing new "G Rank" quests.

This will be the first time that players will have a portable option to play both local wireless and online multiplayer with up to three other hunters, so you can play at home or in handheld mode whenever you feel the need for monster slaying.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will feature " a blend of classic gameplay and unique new twists, [and] brand new exportable areas and monsters". But if it's anything like its Japan release a year ago, it's safe to say Monster Hunter Generations for the Nintendo Switch could be less than $60 considering it's an enhanced version of an existing title. The first is the Brave Style that rewards players with new moves following successive attacks.

Meanwhile, newcomers can take advantage of the new Hunter Arts, which are super-powerful techniques that can be activated by hitting the touch screen.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will bring the classic hunting and online team-ups fans love to Switch on August 28. This is the most customizable Monster Hunter experience to date!

Lastly, any current Monster Hunter Generations players who don't quite feel like repeating all the work they've done don't have to worry, as you can transfer your save file over to Ultimate when it launches this August.

Alchemy Style - Support teammates by creating useful field items on the fly during combat.
