Lethal Weapon Recasts Lead With Seann William Scott as New Character

After clashes on set between star Clayne Crawford and Wayans, Crawford was sacked - and the show was in jeopardy. Matthew Miller is the creator and showrunner, with Warner Bros.

Studio Warner Bros. issued a statement declaring Crawford's contract was not picked up for the third season.

Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment at Fox Broadcasting Company, announced "Lethal Weapon" s renewal Sunday, along with the reveal that Seann William Scott ("American Pie") will be joining the cast next season as a new character who folds into a partnership with Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans).

Wayans, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Jordana Brewster, Johnathan Fernandez, Dante Brown, Chandler Kinney and Michelle Mitchenor star in "Lethal Weapon", which comes from Warner Bros. TV. After the outburst, the actor said he met with human resources, apologized for his role in the conflict and completed studio-appointed therapy, while also sharing a "sizable portion" of his paycheck with one of the parties involved - at Warners' request. "I take responsibility for the incident, because I was in charge of the set". The second incident occurred during an episode Crawford was directing when another actor on set felt unsafe after being hit by a piece of shrapnel from an effect.

For the past few weeks, the rumors around FOX where that the network would either cancel the hit series "Lethal Weapon", or replace the lead-actor Clayne Crawford. Lethal Weapon is now the only show produced outside of Fox counterpart 20th TV on the network's 2018-19 roster.

The is the first series regular role for Scott, who first broke out as part of the American Pie franchise but who has shown considerable range through films like Role Models, The Rundown, and Goon. I hope they will stick with me and stick with the show'. In the days that followed, Crawford retweeted notes of support from past co-stars praising his professionalism.
