Lenovo Z5 teased once again by company's VP

Cheng previously released another tease claiming the phone will have a 95 percent screen to body ratio, as you can see below. Regardless of how small the notch might be it still isn't an all screen display. It can be seen that there is a very thin bezel all around the display of this device.

The above sketch from the Z5 comes from Lenovo vice president Chang Cheng, who posted the images on Weibo.

This year, a number of Android smartphone manufacturers also incorporated the infamous "top notch" into their flagship devices, including the LG G7, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, and the Asus ZenFone 5. It's not clear what Lenovo plans to do with the front camera on the Lenovo Z5. Can we expect the "notch" that Apple made infamous with its courageous iPhone X?

A Lenovo exec shared this sketch of the Lenovo Z5.

Devices which have already addressed this issue with high screen ratios are, of course, Vivo Apex, which has a pop-up selfie camera but bottom bezel, and the Mi Mix 2s, which tucks the camera into a chin at the bottom.

Chang did not go into more details regarding this phone, so for all we know it could simply be a concept, but the post on Weibo does reference several tech breakthroughs and also 18 patents, so perhaps this design could soon become a reality.

Lenovo has teased a new arrival that might top Apple's iPhone X in a bid to deliver a true all-screen smartphone.

The Lenovo Z5 will arrive sometime in June and since it does not appear to have a facial recognition sensor other than the one that will be incorporated via software, it will probably have a fingerprint scanner for user authentication.
