Lawyer: I Discussed Accusations Against Schneiderman With Michael Cohen In 2013

Gleason is now seeking the protective order on any documents involving the Schneiderman allegations that may have been seized in the recent Federal Bureau of Investigation raid of Cohen's office. That same day, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents raided Cohen's home, office, and hotel room seeking records pertaining to a hush payment Cohen negotiated just before the 2016 election to a woman who claims she had an affair with Trump.

Mr. Gleason said in an interview that Mr. Cohen had told him that if Mr. Trump were to run for and be elected governor of NY, he would help bring to light the women's accusations about Mr. Schneiderman.

Gleason declined to discuss the details of what he told Cohen, or anything that resulted from either that call or from Dunleavy's contact with Trump.

Gleason requested a protective order to seal all correspondence that Cohen may have had about the women, in part to protect their identities as assault victims.

"Sometimes you need to get your message out by any means necessary", says Gleason. A deep animus had existed between the two men, prompted by a $40 million civil fraud lawsuit Schneiderman filed against Trump's for-profit educational venture, Trump University, in August 2013.

Weiner is gone, Spitzer is gone - next will be lightweight A.G. Eric Schneiderman.

Gleason's letter said Dunleavy did discuss the allegations against Mr. Schneiderman, "as evidenced by a phone call I received from Attorney Michael Cohen".

Schneiderman resigned on Tuesday, three hours after The New Yorker printed the article, which detailed how four women, two of whom it identified, accused him of physical violence. The New York AG filed suit against Trump University in 2013, claiming it defrauded customers and violated New York law.

Apparently, those preliminary steps involved bringing Michael Cohen and Donald Trump into the matter for some unknown f**king reason.

Eliot Spitzer resigned as governor of NY after his dalliance with a prostitute was revealed. "Wait and see, worse than Spitzer or Weiner", Trump tweeted in 2013.

He writes that during his communications with Cohen, 'I shared with him certain details of Scheinderman's vile attacks on these two women.

"Just to be clear: not one source for our story on Schneiderman has any ties to Trump or Michael Cohen", tweeted New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer.

Dunleavy told CNBC that Gleason called him Thursday about a proposed letter to Wood, "but he didn't check with me" to confirm that the former columnist had actually told Trump about it.

U.S. President Donald Trump holds a rally with supporters at North Side middle school in Elkhart, Indiana, U.S., May 10, 2018. He has called Schneiderman a "crook", a "lightweight", "the worst attorney general in the USA", an "incumbent lightweight dope", a "total loser", and accused him of wearing mascara or eyeliner.
