Harrison Ford Still Really Hates the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi

Ford's portrayal of the gruff smuggler in the original "Star Wars" catapulted him to stardom and has become one of the characters most closely associated with the actor. "Solo: A Star Wars Story" tells the story of how Han met Chewie, Lando, the blaster, the Millenium Falcon, and most importantly, how he got to be the rough tough man we see later in the films.

As of this writing, Solo: A Star Wars Story is sitting at a 72 percent "fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes' reviewer Tomatometer.

With the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story just over a week away, its cast is gearing up for their galaxy far, far away debut with an appearance at Cannes.

Describing Solo as possibly "the least epic Star Wars movie to date", the review gives no love to the set pieces' length and "lack [of] narrative logic".

Glover is hilarious as Lando - and not in almost enough of the film.

Star of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Emilia Clarke, has revealed that she would like her Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harrington to play a young Luke Skywalker.

Cloud City on Bespin is one of the most lovely locales in Star Wars, and we really don't know much of how Lando got into the Tibanna gas business.

As "Rogue One" demonstrated, there's a rich vein of material in "Star Wars" prequels, just waiting to be mined.

Others, like Qi'ra (Emilia Clarke), feel undercooked, nearly more like setups for spinoff novels and comic series than fully developed film characters. In fact, some of the biggest laughs of any Star Wars film to date come courtesy of Lando and his sassy droid and co-pilot, L3-37 (Phoebe Waller-Bridge).

Whatever measures Ron Howard (their replacement) took to right the ship seems to have worked - you'd never know this film suffered so much turmoil behind the scenes if you hadn't already read the reports.

Han Solo now has a Rotten Tomatoes score of only 71%! Are you excited for Solo? Princess Leia. Darth Vader.

With that out of the way, let's see if the critics are being kind to Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Seeing Han Solo drop the cargo in this film would be an unbelievable tie into Star Wars: A New Hope, adding even more canon connectivity to an already cohesive storyline.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones - 66%. It lacks any of the classical purity we have come to expect from Star Wars, instead dangling tales that will be presumably delivered upon in sequels. Check out our rankings by clicking next!
