First lady Melania 'doing really well' after medical procedure: Donald Trump

President Trump tweeted: "Heading over to Walter Reed Medical Center to see our great First Lady, Melania".

Donald Trump applauds after first lady Melania Trump spoke in the Rose Garden of the White House on May 7, 2018. Will be leaving hospital in 2 or 3 days. "Thank you for such love and support!" - wrote the President.

United States of America (U.S.A) President Donald Trump on Tuesday said his wife Melania is "doing really well" following a successful kidney procedure and will leave hospital within days. Mrs. Trump is 48. As my research shows, the public role of first lady of the United States has become a highly strategic one, aimed nearly entirely at improving public opinion of presidents and their policy agendas.

An embolization is a minimally invasive treatment that blocks one or more blood vessels or abnormal vascular channels.

"I want to start by saying that Melania is in the hospital doing really well".

As far as learning more about the first lady's condition that required the procedure in the first place, CNN's chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, said certain benign tumors can be treated with an embolization procedure, but that cysts do not typically get embolized.

Such benign tumors often have no symptoms and are often found when people get medical scans for another reason. Many times, embolization patients go home the same day or the next.

The Slovenian-born former model is Trump's third wife. They have a 12-year-old son, Barron.

Once she's out of the hospital and on the mend, Mrs. Trump will return to her busy schedule, working on promoting her recently-announced "Be Best" initiative. Trump has acknowledged reimbursing his lawyer for the payment to Stormy Daniels but denies her allegations. That lack of strategy within the White House stands in stark contrast to what we have observed in recent administrations. In the late afternoon, the president flew by helicopter to Walter Reed to visit the first lady for about an hour before returning to the White House.
