Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Gets New Battle Royale Mode Blackout

Also new with Black Ops 4 is the Blackout mode, a new battle royale experience that will see players scavenge and fight (solo or in teams) on a map that is 1,500 times bigger than Nuketown. While this could be referring to the feature returning to Black Ops 4 at some future point, Miller's follow up answers seem to point to it not exiting Call of Duty as a whole. Synergy is the operative word in Black Ops 4's multiplayer.

Treyarch also shared that Black Ops 4 will be the most customizable zombie mode yet. Instead, you'll have to heal yourself - or rely on Crash, a medic who can restore other players' health, hero-shooter-style. More than previous multiplayer modes, this one is all about keeping players engaged in the action.

Players are strong on their own, but unstoppable as a team, especially when they combine Specialists in strategic ways to work together. Black Ops 4 represents the largest development team assembled for a PC title in the series.

Health will no longer regenerate as players must manually trigger the healing process with a button press. The Pick 10 system is back and so are perks, so you can expect a classic Black Ops gaming feel.

In the second map, called Voyage of Despair, the crew is on what looked like a nice cruise on the Titanic.

Set in ancient Rome, IX thrusts our four protagonists into a coliseum where ritual sacrifices may be required. Players will assume the roles of characters from across the series as well as characters from the various Zombies chapters.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal presentation that broadcasted live earlier today gave players an early glimpse at what Treyarch has been cooking up, and so far things are looking good.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 features gritty, grounded, combat, along with new levels of customization and tactical gameplay, and a variety of new weaponry, maps and modes for the ultimate Black Ops multiplayer experience.

No single-player. A battle royale mode.

In addition to this, the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will receive its own dedicated servers, which should help reduce lag and create an all-around more enjoyable experience for players on the platform. The mini-map features a fog-of-war element now in order to cut back the player focus on the mini-map as an absolute key for survival. Once they find a play style they like, it'd be very hard for someone of a lesser skill set to touch them. Everything from the visuals to the controls has been built and optimized for PC gamers in every way possible.

More details on Black Out and how it fits in the entire Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 ecosystem will be coming. They are shoving a multiplayer experience down our throats that many don't care for, despite the success of other battle royale games.
